1/28/12 Annual Blues Banquet & 4th Annual Silent Auction, Holiday Inn

The event was fanrtastic, the beer and wine were flowing and the awards were presented with dignity. This truely was a great event had by all and for those who missed it – missed a first class event put on by GTRC. $1000′s were donated and the focus for our year ahead is looking good. Our hometown hooker USA Rugby’s Phil Thiel gave us a tremendous speech about his travels, the World Cup and his appreciation for the Traverse Bay Blues. Those who missed the great event will have to hear the stories, as I’m sure there are many to make you smile and wonder, “Why did I not go to this?”

Rugby Gives Back

On October 22nd at our final home game of the season, the Blues will once again be hosting Rugby Gives Back. It is our third annual food and toiletries drive.  Let’s show the community how much we care by flooding several of the local food banks with the most needed items.

  • Diapers, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, and of course non-perishable food as well.
  • If you don’t have time to shop but still want to give we will also be excepting cash donations and disAAtributing that to the food banks. Just bring the items with you to the game where we will have a collection area for you to drop off your donations.
  • Let’s  have this be our best year yet! Please pass this on to all family and friends who may attend and encourage them to donate!

Thank you in advance for your donations. If you have any questions please call Joshua Benghauser at 231-883-2898.
